Please join us for
Labor Day Weekend at
Mammoth Lakes
Friday,
Aug. 31 -- Monday, Sept. 3
|
|
As
many of you know, Mammoth is a delightful place in the summer.
The weather is generally sunny and warm, and the foliage is pretty
then.
We are
renting a house there over Labor Day weekend, and I hope you'll join
us! |
We can
do a four-mile hike one day to two pretty mountain lakes.
Other options including biking, other hikes, etc. The weekend
will be light on structure, so feel free to let it unfold however
you'd like.
We'll
do at least one dinner in our house and one out at some restaurant,
depending on everyone's preference. I'll buy communal supplies
for casual breakfasts, and everyone can do whatever they'd like for
lunches. |
|
|
I have
a few possible houses identified, and I need to book one or more of
them soon. The cost of the house is going to be approximately
$175-225 per person (kids free), and maybe a little less depending
on which house(s) we get.
So I'm
going to collect $225 per person now and that will be the most it
will cost you. I'll refund whatever difference there is once I
get the houses booked. |
|
Doing sign-ups and then booking will let us better match the house
to the group we have going. I'll try to get a house that's
well-configured for us in terms of beds, hopefully avoiding using
sleeper sofas or having three people in a bed (except on request).
I'll
book the house next weekend, so I need to have everyone's check in
hand by then. The rental house reservations are
non-cancelable, so I need to finalize the list of those going and
collect money now. (Sorry that you need to decide fairly
quickly whether you'd like to come.)
Hopefully the rental house approach will be family-friendly, so feel
free to bring kids if you'd like. However, the houses are
non-smoking and no pets are permitted.
|
|
Feel
free to invite friends along. Let me know if you have any
questions about the trip.
I hope
you can come with us! I think this will be a very pleasant
weekend! I plan on taking Friday off to get up there
earlier...let me know if you wish to, as well. |
