Hermosa Beach Picnic Sunday, August 15th, 4:30 PM I hope you'll join us for a picnic dinner on the beach in Hermosa. We'll be getting together the afternoon of this year's last concert by the pier.
We'll meet at 4:30 and share a potluck picnic prior to the concert. Will you please bring a.) some food item, and b.) some beverage to share with the group? I'll bring plates, bowls, cups, utensils and napkins for everyone. The police are mellow about alcohol during the concerts so wine, beer, etc. served in cups will be fine. Feel free to bring a beach chair if you'd like, though I'll also have several large blankets spread.
This concert features the Stone Bridge Band, which plays music from bands such as Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & Family Stone, Dave Mason, Stevie Wonder, etc. But I imagine they'll once again serve more as the background music for a few hours of socializing at the beach. If you plan to join us, will you please RSVP to me so I can let you know if our plans change? No worries if you reply and end up not making it. Thanks!
This should be a rather
kid-friendly event, Directions: We'll be just south of the Hermosa pier, halfway between the pier and lifeguard tower #10. We'll be on the ocean side of the crowd, away from the Strand. Look for the large tan blankets and we should be easy to spot if you walk along the beach near the water.
